The Magic of Massage + Float

Massage therapy and float therapy can complement each other beautifully, offering a synergistic approach to relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. We call this our Quick Recovery Package!

Here's how these two therapies can work together:

  1. Deep Relaxation: Both massage therapy and float therapy are deeply relaxing practices. Massage involves hands-on manipulation of muscles, targeting specific areas of tension and promoting relaxation throughout the body. Float therapy, on the other hand, involves floating effortlessly in a sensory deprivation tank filled with warm water and Epsom salt, providing a weightless and serene environment that allows for deep relaxation. Combining the two therapies can enhance the overall relaxation experience, promoting a profound sense of calm and tranquility.

  2. Muscle Tension Release: Massage therapy is renowned for its ability to relieve muscle tension, knots, and tightness. The hands-on manipulation of soft tissues can help alleviate muscular pain, improve flexibility, and release built-up tension. Float therapy, with its weightlessness and buoyancy, takes the pressure off the joints and muscles, allowing them to fully relax and decompress. Float therapy can complement massage by creating an environment where the effects of the massage can be further maximized, as muscles can release tension more effectively.

  3. Stress Reduction and Mental Well-being: Both massage and float therapy have a positive impact on reducing stress and promoting mental well-being. Massage therapy can help decrease stress hormones, promote the release of endorphins (feel-good hormones), and induce a state of deep relaxation. Float therapy provides a unique sensory experience that can calm the mind, reduce sensory overload, and promote mental clarity. Combining these therapies can offer a multi-dimensional approach to stress reduction, helping individuals achieve a greater sense of calm, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

  4. Enhanced Body Awareness: Massage therapy and float therapy can deepen body awareness. Massage therapists can identify areas of tension and imbalance in the body, working with the client to address specific concerns and promote overall well-being. Float therapy, with its weightless environment, allows individuals to become more attuned to their body's sensations, promote self-reflection, and increase body-mind awareness. Combining these therapies can enhance body awareness, leading to a better understanding of one's physical and emotional state and facilitating self-care practices.

  5. Holistic Well-being: Both massage therapy and float therapy support a holistic approach to well-being. They address not only physical aspects but also mental and emotional well-being. By combining these therapies, individuals can benefit from a comprehensive experience that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, muscle tension release, and mental clarity. The holistic approach supports overall well-being and encourages individuals to prioritize self-care and nourishment on multiple levels.

We always recommend the massage first to really work out the lactic acid build up in the muscles and start the detox process. Then when you get into the salt water, it pulls the lactic acid more, giving the full body detox and refresh. It is important to drink a lot of water on the day of your therapy to be sure to flush the toxins and avoid feeling ill. The two work well together to heal in ways you weren't aware you needed and reset your mind body connection.
