A wellness spa is a facility that focuses on promoting and enhancing overall well-being, relaxation, and self-care. It offers a range of services and treatments designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Wellness spas go beyond traditional beauty or day spas by emphasizing holistic wellness practices and providing a tranquil environment for individuals to unwind and rejuvenate.
Services offered at a wellness spa may include:
Massage Therapy: Various types of massage techniques are employed to relieve muscle tension, reduce stress, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. We focus on therapeutic massage: deep tissue, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, post-surgery, and sports massage.
Aromatherapy: The use of essential oils and aromatic scents to enhance relaxation, balance emotions, and support overall well-being. We have multiple options for aromatherapy in our treatments.
Facials and Skincare: Customized facial treatments to cleanse, hydrate, and revitalize the skin, often incorporating natural and organic skincare products. We are in the process of adding this to our services; however, do not yet offer this service.
Hydrotherapy: Water-based treatments such as hydro-massage, hot tubs, saunas, or steam rooms to relax muscles, improve circulation, and promote detoxification. For us, this comes in the form of our Sensory Deprivation Float Tank! We hope to add more too!
Yoga and Meditation: Group or individual classes for practicing yoga, mindfulness, and meditation techniques to promote relaxation, mental clarity, and stress reduction.
Wellness Counseling: We have multiple mental health and substance abuse therapists who are happy to talk about lifestyle choices, processing emotions, and self-improvement! We know that mental health affects physical health and vice versa. Our minds and bodies are intricately connected; therefore, we must be diligent in the care of both!
Alternative Therapies: Some wellness spas may offer alternative therapies such as acupuncture, Reiki, or energy healing to address specific health concerns and promote balance. We do have Acupuncture, and we have therapists who are trained in energy healing as well. Our acupuncturist has over a decade of experience, and uses other techniques such as gua sha, tai na, moxibustion, fire cupping, qi gong, and herbal medicine.

The aim of a wellness spa is to create a serene and nurturing environment that encourages individuals to prioritize self-care, stress reduction, and the restoration of balance in their lives. By offering a variety of services focused on physical, mental, and emotional well-being, wellness spas provide individuals with an opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and cultivate a healthier lifestyle.
